In this day and age, there seems to be a lot of competition to organise events with a difference for children's parties. We all know the usual and run of the mill parties where children can watch and be entertained by magicians and so on, but these days, kids want to be more involved and active and enjoy a true party experience.
In looking at some children's party ideas, we will briefly highlight some of the more interesting and different events which you can organise as part of a children's party.
- Murder & Mystery Parties
These are good fun as it allows the child to dress up if they so wish as different characters and act out the role as they try and figure out who has 'done it'. The mystery parties are designed mainly for younger children and usually involve a mystery treasure hunt / clue hunt idea. Clues are provided in the form of imaginative and interactive means, some visual or verbal and even prop clues. The child must use all of their senses to work out the clues.
- Children's Donkey Ride Parties
As the name implies, you can organise a donkey ride for the kids as part of a party which they will always remember. Donkeys are usually calm and docile animals and love getting the attention that they will receive from the child. There are supervisors present for these types of party and your child will be in safe hands. Protective headgear is also normally given to each child to wear.
- Bespoke Entertainment Parties
Some companies offer a multi-themed party idea which can be tailored to suit your needs. A team of event planners, entertainment specialists and set designers create a special and unique event for the party. Some of the more popular ideas for these types of party include a fashion show complete with catwalk and styling - more popular for a girls' party idea, becoming a pop star and recording your own track, a beach party, a driving experience party and a roller disco party, just to name a few. These types of party can considerably cost more but with professional children's entertainers they are guaranteed to be great fun.
- Circus and Magic Workshop Parties
Circus workshop parties will teach the child a variety of circus skills in a fun and challenging environment where the child will try their hand at plate-spinning, juggling, devil stick, balloon modelling. In a magic party, the child can learn a variety of magic tricks which they can also use at home and these are interspersed with fun games, balloon modelling etc.
- Children's Bushcraft Parties
For a more active and challenging type of outdoor party, the Bushcraft Party has become very popular recently. This type of party will take place usually in a wooded or forest area where supervisors and staff will be present at all times of course. Children may take part in a wide range of activities which can include quad biking, bows and arrows, shelter building, breadmaking, firemaking and so on.
Other outdoor type children's party ideas, which are great fun, can include raft building, rock climbing, go-karting and paintballing.
