0 Effective Parenting for Healthy and Positive Development for Children

Children are like gifts that you are blessed with. There’s never a moment that’s dull when you have young children. Yes, of course it is a challenge to raise children and make the effort to practice positive parenting. Ensuring your children develop and grow into happy teenagers and adults is your biggest responsibility. If you are a parent, or soon to be one, then there is excellent information available that can offer wisdom and positive suggestions. Even though this article is just big enough to give you a few tips on parenting, we hope that it is going to assist you.

The way in which you talk with your child will have a huge impact on how your child thinks and feels about his or her self. Life is very difficult and stressful, and even more so with children, so it will take a concerted effort to not put your stress on them. If you are angry, just as an example, about your day at work, then if you show that anger to your child it will cause a certain amount of confusion. Naturally, your child will wonder if he or she did something to make you angry. So this is merely something that takes daily effort, depending on your particular situation. Sometimes it is easier doing parenting when you aren’t so emotional, because inappropriate emotions don’t happen as often. Another parenting style that is fairly well know is the authoritarian one. An authoritarian parent will be communicate with their child in a very commanding manner. Bad behavior is generally unacceptable to these parent. They expect that what they say will be done without any questions. Most parents that are authoritarian will agree with the phrase ‘children should be seen and not heard’. At home there are many rules that the children must abide by. Because children bought up this way are more disciplined they tend to do very well in school and other areas. Sadness is certainly one emotion felt by these children though.

Usually one parent has a more involvement with the teenager and will feel more of a sense of disparagement. Mothers have the propensity for this due to motivational influence. The mother is usually the parent who instills this, but not always. As we all know this can be a challenging experience, but mom needs to be there if her child needs her in their conquest. If the mother gets too caught up in her own emotions and makes a greater effort to resist, then that can and usually leads to more conflict. Allowing your child to follow their destiny takes a lessening of control on the parent’s part at a reasonable pace obviously.

All of this can be stopped by simply changing the child’s environment from one of anxiety to a place of comfort and consistency. If a child is raised thinking that life is a safe place to be, they will not go in a negative direction. If your kids are able to grow up and feel that their world is safe, they will have a better chance at a positive and productive life later on. The flipside of the coin represents kids raised in a place that did not allow them to feel safe. This is not to say that bad childhood experiences filled with insecurities is the reason that many adults today feel insecure. Simply stated, children that do grow up in a balanced environment have a better chance of doing well and being much more happy as an adult.
